Moorea

Overlooking the island of Tahiti with lush green mountains and crystal blue lagoon.  A barrier reef surrounds this island, and the eight volcanic mountain peaks and two bays — Cook’s and Opunohu — give this island the characteristic paw print shape.  This is a fun island to get out and explore, and the waters and clear and inviting.  Plus, only 10 nautical miles from Papeete makes Moorea easily accessible.

Getting There

A short, 10 minute flight from Papeete or take the 45 minute ferry from Papeete ferry pier. Inter-island flights to connect on to other French Polynesia islands. Prearranged van transfers will then take you on to your resort.

Things to Do

Sign up for an island tour in either an air-conditioned vehicle or a 4 WD. Or explore the island on your own by bicycle or moped. ATV tour is also popular, as is the Lagoon and Motu Beach Picnic Excursion.
