If you have been dreaming of a ceremony on the beach in the powdery white sand in front of a crystal blue lagoon then Tahiti is ideal for your destination wedding. Wedding packages range from a simple service for just the two up to gala affairs complete with entertainment, plated dinner, and dancing the night away. And you can choose from a traditional Polynesian ceremony or one with a Western style officiant. Symbolic ceremonies are the most typical, but legal weddings are possible in French Polynesia. And if you prefer an inside ceremony, we work with several resorts that have beautiful beachfront wedding chapels.

Since 2009, non-French nationals can get married in French Polynesia. And with the passing of the Marriage Equality Act in France in 2013, same sex couples can also be legally wed. Legal ceremonies do require paperwork and additional time. It is recommended to allow 6 to 8 months to plan and process paperwork for a legal ceremony.

Do you anticipate guests attending your wedding? A suggestion would be to have your wedding at one of our resorts in Papeete, and then the guests can stay a few additional nights in Papeete or continue on to another island to fit their varying interests.
